Work is progressing on the the four-story office building at 1150 South U.S. 1., across from Ocean Walk Boulevard, that will be the home of Charleston Laboratories Inc.
The pharmaceutical company is spending about $4 million to buy and refurbish a U.S. 1 office building for expansion.
The company plans on renovating and then moving into the four-story office building at 1150 South U.S. 1., about a mile south of Indiantown Road. The company plans to hire about two dozen executive and management employees when they open.
Company officials did not have a date for opening.
Charleston Laboratories, Inc. is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on research and development pain management products to prevent the side effects such as vomiting and nausea related to opioid analgesics and other products.
The company, , a privately owned organization that started in 2007, was renting space in an office building across from the U-Tiki restaurant on A1A in Jupiter.

The 27,000-square-foot building was purchased by CLI Properties llc for about $2.9 million in April, according to Palm Beach County records.
The company received a Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund of $140,000 from Florida and an additional $35,000 in incentives from Jupiter.
