A miniature golf course in Abacoa will bring more families to the live-work-play community off Donald Ross Road, say supporters of the plan submitted to the town.
“It’s not going to another Pirateland. The course will be a naturally landscaped setting with an authentic Jupiter feel,” said Josh Simon, a principal with FLF ATC LLC.
The Jupiter-based company in March paid $5.1 million for 93,000 square feet of Abacoa commercial property, along with about 3 acres of vacant land that would be used for the golf course.
The plan calls for spending about $500,000 to build the 18-hole course.
If approved by the town council, the course would be open in about a year, Simon said.
