The Wendy’s restaurant has closed on U.S. 1 in Countyline Plaza on U.S. 1  in Tequesta, but owners of the Publix-anchored plaza on the west side of U.S. 1 say it won’t be long until the now-empty building is occupied.

“We’re talking now to businesses who want to move in. We have a 100 percent occupancy rate at this plaza. It won’t be long until there is a new tenant in here,” said Trish Naya Norene, the executive director of the plaza.

That section of U.S. 1 in Tequesta  is scheduled for a major renovation, including reducing the number of vehicle driving lanes from four to six, dropping the speed limit, adding lighting and building new landscaping.

Wendy’s in Countyline Plaza in Tequesta closed Dec. 26, said Norene.

The plaza, which has about 1,400 parking spaces, also contains Chase Bank, Time to Eat Diner and Rocky’s Hardware store. (Photo/Bill DiPaolo)
