Organic grocery store chain Sprouts Farmers Market plans to open its first two South Florida locations in Broward County and Palm Beach County.
The Phoenix, Arizona-based company announced plans to open stores in Deerfield Beach and Wellington, but didn’t specify when.
The new stores will be located at Federal Highway and Southeast 10th Street in Deerfield Beach, and at State Road 7 and Old Hammock Way in Wellington.
According to its website, Sprouts has 315 stores in 19 states, including five in the Tampa Bay region of Florida. The company has two locations in Tampa and one each in Palm Harbor, Sarasota and Valrico.
In addition to the South Florida grocery stores it is planning, Sprouts announced that it will open new Florida locations in Clearwater, Oviedo, Naples and Winter Park.
Similar to grocery stores in the Lucky’s Market chain, Sprouts locations feature a produce section in the center of the store plus a deli, butcher shop and fish market. [Sun-Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
