A beautification project in Jupiter, Florida is well underway. Some are already seeing the changes and are liking what they see.
Five speed bumps have been installed along A1A from Jupiter Beach Road north to U.S. 1, part of the town’s $8 million project to install bicycle lanes, on-street parking, medians, sidewalks, street lights and crosswalks on the three-quarter-mile stretch of roadway through the town’s Inlet Village.
Palm trees have also been installed on medians.

Florida Power & Light powerlines will be buried. When the project is finished next month, there will be no overhead crossing of powerlines above this stretch of A1A.
Some power poles will remain to provide aerial service onto private property, according to Jupiter records.
