A new location is coming this summer for Nick’s Tomatoe Pie, the Italian restaurant open for the last 25 years in Sims Creek Plaza on the northside of Indiantown Road, just east of Center Street.

The restaurant, which employs 60, plans on moving into another location in the plaza.

The restaurant is now open and will remain open until they move, according to staff.

The new restaurant will be located just north of the current location, in the Hobby Shop and three adjacent bays. Outdoor seating and a bar are planned.

A plan was submitted to the town in December to demolish the current restaurant after Nick’s left and replace it with a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

The plan called for two drive-through stops for customers. Town’s planning and zoning commission review and town council approval is required.

No date for review or a vote for the Chick-Fil-A plan has been scheduled, according to town records.

Meanwhile, a sign inside Nick’s tells customers they are moving this summer.
