Contractors have started building a new BMW dealership near downtown Fort Lauderdale for the Holman Automotive Group. Holman Automotive Group’s $15 million service center at 2601 South Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale
The BMW dealership, with a two-story showroom and a five-story garage with space for as many as 600 cars, is expected to open next spring. The total cost of the project is about $22 million.
FSMY Architects of Fort Lauderdale designed the two-story showroom with a wall of insulated glass and a green exterior wall system featuring foliage.
Miller Construction Company is building the Holman showroom at 1441 South Federal Highway, across the street from an existing Homan dealership called Lauderdale BMW Mini can store only 100 cars. So, for customers, “the selection will increase dramatically,” Ken Loiseau, general manager of Lauderdale BMW Mini, told the Sun-Sentinel.
Loiseau also told the newspaper the new dealership will help to increase the annual sales volume of Holman BMW, now in the range of 1,400 to 1,500 cars.
The new BMW dealership will be the fourth project that Miller Construction has built for Holman Automotive, including Holman’s $15 million service center at 2601 South Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale with 52 service lifts and more than 500 vehicle parking spaces. [Sun-Sentinel] – Mike Seemuth
