The site plan for a pharmacy for the Lakewood gated residential project is scheduled to go before the town’s planning and zoning commission May 12 at 7 p.m.

The Lakewood plan, approved by the town council last summer, calls for 275 single- and multi-family units.

A 5,000-square-foot restaurant, 150,000 square feet of biotech office/research space and a 15,000-square-foot pharmacy are also planned on the property, also known as Parcel 19.
The original plan by developer Otto “Buz” DiVosta called for 350 houses with a 20-pump gas station.

That proposal sparked opposition from some residents about noise and traffic.

The developers reduced the number of housing units, dropped the gas station and shrank the size of the restaurant.

The CVS pharmacy site plan is scheduled to go before the town council for a final vote July 21.
