Suni Sands Park Manager Steve Burns, left, and an assistant put up sign Monday morning showing the 10-acre Suni Sands mobile home park park on A1A is closed.
The The Suni Sands dock on the Jupiter Inlet is padlocked shut. The pool for residents has been drained, said Burns.
Suni Sands Mobile Home Park in Jupiter once had about 200 residents, some who lived there for several decades
April 30 was the deadline for eviction.
About two dozen residents remain living in their mobile homes. The eviction process to require them to leave the park is proceeding, said Burns.
About of dozen of those residents are pursuing a court suit alleging the sale of the Suni Sands mobile home park to Charles Modica should be voided because the residents of the park were not given first refusal to buy the property.
Modica is proposing an historic inn and marketplace on the property he bought three years ago for about $16 million.
