Foreclosures have hit the brakes. There are not many on the market for sale as they once were several years ago. Those great deals have passed and are hard to come by. Abacoa gets an initial approval for a mini-golf course

Abacoa in Jupiter is adding a miniature golf course in its community to match its already beautiful 18 hole golf courses. Plus, retail shops and stores are also being considered in the construction plans. The next step is winning approval from Jupiter Town Council A mini-golf course in Downtown Abacoa was unanimously recommended for approval May 10 by the town’s planning and zoning commission. The course would be on now-vacant property on the northeast corner of Main Street and Chancellor Drive. A retail shop is also planned. The town council must vote on final approval. Speed bumps and big palm trees part of $8 M spiffing up of A1A in Jupiter

A beautification project in Jupiter, Florida is well underway. Some are already seeing the changes and are liking what they see. Five speed bumps have been installed along A1A from Jupiter Beach Road north to U.S. 1, part of the town’s $8 million project to install bicycle lanes, on-street parking, medians, sidewalks, street lights and crosswalks on the three-quarter-mile stretch of roadway through the town’s Inlet Village. Avenir development gets go-ahead from Palm Beach Gardens officials

This courtesy rendering shows what the shops and restaurants could look like in the Avenir development. A proposed 3,250-home development off Northlake Boulevard south of the Beeline Highway received the blessing of Palm Beach Gardens officials Thursday night after three years of planning and compromise. Palm Beach Gardens City Council voted 5-0 to give final approval to Avenir’s master plan, along with changes to accommodate the development on 4,763 acres on the city’s western edge. Those changes include rezoning, moving an growth boundary and altering land uses in the city’s comprehensive plan. At Avenir’s inception, plans called for 7,600 homes, 1.2 million square feet of office space, 500,000 square feet of retail space, a university and a 300-room hotel.
