PulteGroup’s DiVosta Homes unit is building the development, called The Fields, at the location of the former Gulfstream Polo Club.

Atlanta-based PulteGroup this year bought the old Gulfstream Polo Club and nearby horse farms for approximately $49 million.

Brent Baker, the president of the company’s southeast Florida division, told the Sun-Sentinel that PulteGroup has taken reservations in advance of the formal launch of sales at The Fields, which will start late this month or in early January.

PulteGroup has opened a temporary off-site sales center for The Fields at 8461 Lake Worth Road. The development is located on Polo Road west of Florida’s Turnpike and south of Lake Worth Road.

Baker told the Sun-Sentinel that more than 1,100 potential buyers have asked for information about the development.

He also told the newspaper that the first residents will move to The Fields next summer, and DiVosta Homes will finish building the entire development within six years.

Townhomes are available in four designs at prices starting at $334,990. Single-family home prices range upward from the $400,000s. [Sun-Sentinel] Mike Seemuth
