Doris Italian Market and Bakery in the Shoppes at City Centre, 11239 U.S. 1 in North Palm Beach, is expected to open in December. It will be the sixth store in Palm Beach and Broward Counties but the largest and most unique of those, according to a news release.

The North Palm Beach location will have two bocce ball courts, an outdoor cafe, wines on tap, pizza and gelato made fresh daily on-site. The market posts updates on construction progress to its Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The business began as a mom-and-pop meat market and deli in Hollywood, Fla. Its offerings include fresh meats, produce, seafood and baked goods. It also has a catering service.
Doris Italian Market and Bakery hosts fundraising galas throughout the year to benefit local nonprofit organizations. The first one in North Palm Beach is scheduled for early 2016.
