Workers are putting the finishing touches on the new Chipotle Mexican Grill in Chasewood Plaza. Opening is expected in the next 10 days.
The Denver, CO.-based Chipotle has about 1,600 restaurants worldwide. Nearby locations include Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Stuart, Boynton Beach, Wellington and Lake Worth.
The Chipotle is located next to a new Dunkin’ Donuts that opened last month in the Publix-anchored shopping center on Indiantown Road. The Dunkin’s moved from a different building in Chasewood Plaza into its current location.
Hurricane Grill & Wings plans on moving into the old Dunkin’s store. Opening is planned for the end of August.
Also planning on opening in the next few weeks in Chasewood Plaza is PetSmart. The store will open in the 14,000-square-foot building that was the former location of Books-A-Million. The book store closed in January.
The changes are part of an overall renovation plan by Jacksonville-based Regency Centers, owners of the shopping center. Renovations include demolishing an old building that housed Sandy’s Hallmark Shop and Bealls Outlet Store. Sandy’s moved to a new location in Chasewood Plaza, next to Payless Shoe Source. Bealls did not reopen. Chasewood Plaza renovations also included about 40 new parking spaces, new landscaping and a new traffic pattern.
