The Bonefish Grill is moving east on PGA Boulevard from the Shoppes of Oakbrook to Mainstreet at Midtown with a better location.

When Bonefish Grill revealed its plans to close 14 of its restaurants around the country, the company didn’t say which ones.

North County fans of the seafood chain, relax. The Palm Beach Gardens restaurant is leaving 11650 U.S . 1 in the Publix-anchored Shoppes of Oakbrook, but it’s not going far. A new Bonefish Grill at Mainstreet at Midtown on PGA Boulevard is expected to open in early August.

A construction crew was working on the future location between J. Alexander’s and III Forks Steakhouse Thursday afternoon. The restaurant’s new space will have 232 seats.

Bloomin’ Brands, based in Tampa, announced a restructuring in February affecting Bonefish Grill. The company also owns Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Outback Steakhouse and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

Bonefish Grill’s other Palm Beach County locations are in Boynton Beach, Boca Raton and Wellington.
